Can a motion sensor on a light fixture be removed?

I have an outdoor floodlight fixture with a motion sensor. Can the motion sensor be removed so that the light is controlled solely by the switch?
Someone mentioned putting duct tape over the sensor, but wouldn’t that mean the light would never light up?

Sure can. You don’t even have to take it off, just disconnect the wires inside, try hooking up just the black and white wires, the sensor wires might be red, yellow or blue.
I would imagine one could place a piece of duct tape over it and keep it from sensing motion. Or find the lens and paint it black.
Check around at your local hardware stores, a new light with out the motion sensor can be cheap and they are easy to change.
take the fixture down and hook up only the hot/neutral and ground wire. black is hot, white is neutral and green for ground. if these are not the colors, please post an update
They almost always have a setting to turn it off at the fixture
